Description: Conversion / New Build extension of Grade II Listed former office building to 8 flat Residential Use
Client: Confidential
Budget: Confidential
Heslington House is a Grade II Listed, early 19th-century Georgian townhouse, distinguished by its classical detailing. Originally constructed as a private residence, the building was converted to office use during the mid-20th century.
With the building no longer required for long-term office use, EDWS Architects successfully secured full planning and listed building consent for its conversion into eight self-contained residential flats. The approved scheme includes:
A sympathetically designed two-storey side extension, carefully integrated to respect the historic character of the original structure.
A series of landscape improvements to enhance the garden setting and overall site context.
Following the granting of planning permission, EDWS Architects prepared a comprehensive detailed construction package, including the discharge of all relevant local authority planning conditions.
The project was completed on site April of 2025
